Cedar is a wonderful material to use for siding here in the Pacific Northwest. Cedar is also a good material to use for roofs. Cedar is both aesthetically pleasing and can withstand our climate for a very long time before needing to be replaced. Although cedar is a good material the nature of our climate can cause it to fade resulting in discoloration, diminishing the aesthetic qualities. Cedar is also likely to attract algae spores which can slowly eat away at the material causing costly repairs in a shorter amount of time. Our process for cleaning this home began with removing the dead-cells and organics from the surface using a special solution. Afterwards we replenish the oils that were removed during the cleaning process with natural cedar oil derived from cedar trees.
